I have a Yamaha z200txry . Motor starts and runs fine I have a long idle out to run the boat , no problems 1 hr later im out running at speed 4200 RPM sometimes will fall on its face sometimes will run for hr's . Come off plane and idle for 30-60 secs and almost every time more will through a pulser coil code . i check voltage while running all 6 are at 10 volts even while it has the code and running like crap . On the YDS system while its running poorly it will also drop any cylinder randomly . Im thinking its a bad pulser coil but i don't understand how im still getting voltage out of it . Lost here Have done a run down on the normal thing's running on a key switch at the moto,r portable tank , all filters changed . spark plugs changed even though all looked great , fuel pressure at speed all check out , never had any water in fuel issue . Only other thing is its the older ignition system with the standard plugs .

      what meter are you using?
have you actually checked the specs on pulser coil output voltage?
I just did and 10 aint enough.
when you get a code 13 it will fire all 6 based on CPS inputs and ign timing will be fixed at 7*BTDC and it will idle fast.
just remember there is some wiring between the pulser coil and the ECU.

Hmm didn't think 10 volts would be below spec but i have to take a look now . Meter wise Stevens 77 i believe . I wouldn't say my idle speed is high but i will check timing once it tosses the code at me , motor will stall if i Idle down most the time and if it stalls its terrible to restart . I ordered pusler coil already , figured it would be worth it over pulling my hair out idling hour each way . Thanks for the heads up on the voltage , Only other question i would ask is Did the early Hpdi with the standard spark plug have that function seems like i never can get much info on this old ignition system .
