I have a 96 yamaha vx250 2 stroke carbed motor. i had to replace the battery today and when doing so mistakenly hooked up the battery cables wrong. The engine and all gauges work fine but after 20 minutes my oil alarm went off. Oil is not pumping from the remote tank to the one on the motor. Is is possible that i fried the pump motor or possibly the computer?

did you try the manual switch to transfer?
could be nothing,just a coincidental failure of something else. -
Went back this am without the wife and kids so I could troubleshoot in peace. The manual switch activates the pump but oil is not making it to the tank. I guess I'll pull it apart and clean the tank and filter.Comment
