    Reinstalling bolt thread prep.

    What is used on bolts when you put them back in?
    Marine anti-seize, Permatex white thread sealant, corrosion block, corrosion X, or nothing?

    Bolts like the ones holding on the intake silencer, lift pumps, t-stats, PRV valve, balance shaft assembly, LU bolts etc.

    I am doing the balance shaft assembly, VST filter, t-stat, etc. general maintainence on a 07 F150TLR

    I like to clean the threads with a wire brush and then a good coat of marine grease on those threads....I do use some Loctite on that zinc trim fin bolt, which has been known to vibrate loose causing loss of trim fin.....Probably plenty of various experiences and opinions regarding this subject, but you can read and draw your own conclusions....good luck!

      on the balancer bolts,gel seal.
      the rest marine grease of some type will work.
