  • Fuel pump T9.9 appears to fail - but not failed

Engine stalls due to low fuel after initial startup, excess crankcase pressure is cause.
Note to all crankcase inserted diaphragm fuel pump users. If the crankcase breather tube plugs, as mine did, it forces the fuel pump diaphragm to full stroke so no fuel can pump. Insects crawl up vent, ie mud bees, and fully plug this vent tube.
Symptoms: Engine starts and runs but runs out of fuel.
Very noisy fuel pump. Sounds like very loose valves. Hand priming reduces or stops clicking sound.
