  • F 150 balancer assembly parts

    I have a 07 F 150TLR
I need to order a balancer assembly, does it include the gasket? I don't see one listed.

Do i need any other parts, gaskets etc that would need replacing when i do the balancer?

The motor is running fine now but i am starting to hear a little noise at the balancer area.
    Thanks.

No Yamaha gasket. Use an anaerobic gasket maker/ sealant. Not "Silly Cone" as Rodbolt calls it.

I used Permatex-can't remember which one, stuff was blue I think.

I started reading up on this in here and my service manual and yes no gasket!
I assumed a gasket would be there, too many years of cars, tractors and old 2 strokes. No gasket takes me back to the old motorcycle days of splitting cases and Bultaco head fitting.

The install looks straight forward other than paying for the parts.
Getting it timed is just gears and hard parts position. Try a diesel tactor, crank, cam, 2 balance shafts, injector pump, and a few intermediate gears that only line up once a week after initial setup.

Thanks for the sealant #, i have some on the shelf of many sticky solutions and sprays.

Yamaha has a short cut-no need to pull the flywheel and will take you 2 hours or less:

I found the newest version of the balance shaft assembly, the - 04 one right here at boats.net. Very easy to deal with, had it in stock and had it to me in 2 days. They and myself are both in Georgia so that is also a plus.

The change out looks easier than replacing a VST filter which i may do while i have the intake silencer already off.
