float level adj. on 2001 80 hp.

    float level adj. on 2001 80 hp.

    Makes no sense to me. Manual calls for a float height of .55 Inches from float bowl to top of needle with carb upside down. The needle is in the seat. Distance stays the same. Must be another place to check float level. Please help....

    could be the top of float instead of needle

      Manual not real clear on where, but I finally saw that the top of the needle was level with the float. All is well.....I hope. Bad gas giving me fits. Thru away all gas. Rebuild carbs. Hope that takes care of it. Will see.
