    Fuel bulb

    Is the primer bulb on the fuel line supposed to stay hard after the motor is started and running? Mine pumps up hard but after it's been running a while it losses that hardness.

    Also, are the aftermarket brands considered suitable or is the Yamaha OEM bulb a better grade?

    I believe that once the motor is running they will go soft, but shouldn't suck flat etc. (They go soft as when motor is running it's sucking fuel from tank, not getting pumped by you)

      I have the cheesy-ass aftermarket bulbs. How bout it boats.net, what is the part number for oem bulbs?

          Guess Yamaha doesn't seel just the bulbs. Remember hearing Merch bulbs are pretty good. I'll give them a try...

              Get one labeled for ethanol resistance or low permeability. Costs twice, but you only buy it once.
