      F100 pilot screw adjustment

Hi, I'm new to this forum and this is my first post. Thanks for responding. It's a 2002 motor I just got a couple weeks ago on a 2004 Carolina Skiff 198. The boat sat for over a year, apparently without any fuel stabilizer in the gas. I cleaned the varnish out of the tank, installed new fuel lines, new water separator, new bulb, etc. I cleaned the carbs and it's running pretty well now, but somebody took the tamper proof plugs off the pilot screws and now they range from 1 3/4 to 4 turns out. Clymer manual says they should be "about" 2 turns out from lightly seated. I want to set them as close to factory as possible before I sync the carbs.
