Smile Thanks

Those charts will come in handy. I recently took my boat out of the water for bottom painting/engine maintenance.

Default Tune Up Check List

I have a Yamaha 1994 2 Stroke 150 Saltwater series, and a 1994 4 stroke 9.9kicker motor. Where could I get a Tune Up check list?

I enjoy working on these things, and just want to make sure that I cover all of the typical items when doing my services my self.

Much like I do for my oil changes and tune ups on my cars.

Any help is appreciated.

The service manual has the specs and periodic maintenance steps needed to keep engine tuned.

Thanks for those.

But where can I get details of the electrical system as I wanted to put in a split charge system and I need to separate the charging circuit fron the main battery supply leads?

you can get basic wiring info using the parts diagrams on the yamaha motors site

go
Yamaha OEM Parts ? Outboards, Outboard Motors

find your motor
go to electrical 1,2,3,4

for complete wiring details youll need the service manual

Angry

Well, I guess there is no need in replacing the fuel filter on the port side of a V6.
The chart never mentions it. Why don't they tell you when you are buying one?? Dumb Question, as all marine dealers rip you off when ever they can. Thanks for the help.
