Has anyone found a way to get rid of the bugs yet? I just checked and I cannot even get to attachments anymore, much less bold or much of anything else. here is something I found , but not sure I can even post it up, but will try. https://www.symantec.com/security_re...jsp?asid=30415

Still the same issues on my PC the only way I can do the smily icons is typing the letters for one.

It's coming from THIS WEBSITE. I've posted numerous pic's of it and PMed admin.

Almost every time I sign on here I get an alert from Norton it was blocked and specifically states this web site...

strange how it says the attack was blocked and no action is needed, but we cannot do the things we use to be able to do on here

I suspect the bug IS the cause of issues here (My unable to bold, delete photo albums-with JASON's pictures inside, etc).

Admin / computer person at the site needs to do some "cleaning", re-loading/re-setting, etc..

here is what they wrote back to me. "We have checked and have not found any virus on the server this forum is hosted. It seems to be caused by the outdated version the forum is on. We are triple checking though and are also going to be upgrading the forums ASAP." also this" "I assure you there are no threats to either site. We have checked extensively . The site has some outdated code that needs to be upgraded causing some anti-virus software to detect something odd. We are working to upgrade the forum. However there is not any cause for any credit card compromise on the Boats.net site. Seems like someone lumped in an old issue from several years ago." So I have no idea when things will get back to normal for us all. here is something else they sent me "This site is not on the same server as boats.net and neither have been compromised. Also we have checked the server this forum is on and found ZERO viral threats. It is just that some software gives false warnings because this forum is not on the latest vbulletin platform. If you notice it is only happening on certain browsers."

I got the same email and another too. They deleted the other thread as they considered it to be derogatory to Boats.net. Regarding the scammers thing. Even mentioned the "B" word in regard to anything further posted that could be negative towards Boats.net. So be careful.

But they don't respond to the fact that the boats.net site doesn't show as a secured site???

Norton seems to have flagged this site by mistake.

I'd recommend NOT using Norton. It's a terrible program that slows your computer down. Use something like Avast Anti-Virus or Windows Defender (if you have Windows 10) both are free.

I got pretty much the same e-mail...

And macgenius, I've been on this site for approx 10 years, ALWAYS had Norton, NEVER had an issue before this.

I've posted previously, I cannot bold, highlight, etc, there was an album with member "Jason's" pictures in there (I didn't put in)

The photos are now gone, but the album is still there-which I cannot delete, or do anything with.

Hopefully the upgrade fixes the issues...

Should I purchase anything (and I need to), I'll go thru Pay Pal. I don't trust using my CC at this time...

I was thinking someone on that other thread said Avast also flagged it as jscoinminer,

but there is no way of telling now as it is gone to never never land

Guess what guys seems some of my abilities have showed back up
and the norton adviser is not popping up now either.

I would like to thank the people that fixed this for us.
