40ELK Carburetor jet

I am rebuilding the carbs on a 1984 40HP and when I look at the part list on the Yamaha website, it shows that there are two different main jets. 2 of one p/n and 1 of the other. A note on the list for the single jet says "Not Shown". So, which carb gets the odd jet? Upper, Middle, or Lower

That would be an optional jet size, probably for high altitude regions. Your carbs should all have the same size jets in them and aren't normally replaced unless they are damaged while being removed or something. You'll only have the idle jet and the main jet.
