You may want to try taking a fresh 20lt tank with you as I have had many troubles with the new fuel going off aft only a month and takes 3 hrs running to fully clear

      Had the same problem.

I have an 89 prov 150 and it was surging, I tried everthing. One side of the bottom carb was parcially clogged. It wasn't clogged in the jet it was clogged between the needle seat and the main fuel feed. It would idle fine because the bowl was full of gas, but when I opened it up it would surge because there was enough restriction to not allow enough fuel flow so therefore that one bowl was running out of gas. If I dropped to a lower rpm range it would not surge. I'm pretty confident that you have a fuel problem. I hope this helps.
