Shifter/Throttle Cable

Question..

I have a 90TRVL with a 704 control box
The shifter cable works fine, but the throttle cable seems too long.

are these 2 cable suppost to be different?

If you are talking about overall lenght then normally they are the same lenght, but the cables come in 1 foot increments and you can install any lenght you want.
