  • 2005 60 4 stroke Yamaha

I have a new 60 4 stroke FI Yamaha that stalls EVERY time on the first startup. After the first start ,it runs quite well and never stalls. I have the factory manual and am familiar with injection systems but apparently not familiar enough. Suggestions?

    drifter,
Make sure your fuel line bulb is pumped up hard before you start the motor. Other than that, it is under warranty and I would check with the dealer.
    Good luck,

Ken, the last dealer wouldn't carry a full line of motors so Yamaha yanked their dealership. The next guy, a BMC dealer took it over but will not even carry the oil and only took the franchise to cut the competition.. What happened to dealers that care about their allegiance to the brand. I'll double check the bulb pressure. I do it without giving it much thought but you never know.

        drifter,
Any Yamaha dealership should honor the two year warranty - you don't have to take it to the dealership you bought it from - kinda like a new car or truck.
