  • Touchup paint

    Guys,

My Dealer recommended I get my touch up paint from Color Rite for my year 2000, 150 HPDI.

    http://www.color-rite.com/

I purchased some last spring and it really doesn't match very well.
Has anyone found a better patching paint ? or possibly a paint code?

    Thanks !

It's say to use ColorRite on the Yamaha website. It explains how to find the paint color code. Try the link below. I hope this helps.

      Thanks,
I'm almost positive I have the recommended paint. It just doesn't match very well.

          Hi Kitty,

Are you looking to touch up little nicks in the cover or larger spots elsewhere.

I have tried matching paint at large auto supply for small nicks in the cover, found a Chysler color, not perfect but much better match than the tempo/Mueller spray paint. I use that paint on the lower unit.

Also my yammie is older (early 90s), I know they changed shades a few years back,

          good luck

Hi there i learned with the color-rite paint you have to use the clear coat too. It gets it to the color real close
