  • Prop question

I have a 150 txrc , using a 14.25x 19 stainless prop (turbo) , in my opinion rpm are perfect 5250 wot, trimmed up , 20 ft seacraft , looking to get a spare prop , how sensative are the variables , pitch vs diameter , been running this wheel for about ten years , edges getting thin , just hesitant to change anything , I appreciate any suggestions , thanks Eric

If your intention of buying this "spare" is to replace your current prop, why not buy new the same prop you're currently using and happy with? If this spare prop will truly be a backup to your current prop, go with an AL prop. Find used one cheap in good condition on craigslist or eBay. I couldn't justify spending $400-$500 on a brand new SS prop to be used as my "spare", but that's just me.

A good prop shop can rebuild that prop for you and make it good as new, but having a spare on board is always a good idea
