but sometimes you must touch the so called tamper proff non-field adjustments.
however ONLY when you isolate that it is the issue.
usually it is a running issue that causes the intake vacuum not to sync.
I had a running issue (turned out to be a corroded connector in my old FJR1300). The shop, under warranty, wouldn't touch it until it was synced.
      (before I had the tool).

I later found the shop, ADJUSTED the painted(don't touch) screw for the sync (easier to get to than the AIR SCREW). White paint on the screw, BROKEN, was the "give away".

Set that back to where it needed to be and then I adjusted the air screw for the sync... F..ed up, pay $125 for a shop to screw up a simple sync.

BTW, they couldn't find the issue. The issue was found with the help from an FJR forum I frequent (common issue with that year)..

draining the VST is rare, most the drain screws wont move anyway.
        typically I remove the vst.
lock it in a vise and remove the cover assy.
then I can dump it in a clean jar and see what is in it.

Yep, that's exactly what I did. Thanks for the info Townsend I'll be back on it next week. I know the boat was at the dealer before I bought it for water in the fuel issue. Wondering if those guys played with the "do not touch screws". I'll keep you guys posted.
