How to confirm hours on OX66?

I am looking to purchase a boat that has a 2000 or 2001 150 VMAX OX66 on it. Is there computer software to confirm exact hours on this motor? I am getting conflicting answers on this when trying to find someone to check out the motor. The Yamaha gauge on the boat was recently replaced and does no good, so unless something can be plugged in the motor, i won't know hours of use. Some folks are telling me there is no way to check with this motor. Is that true? Anyone???

you cannot access hours on an OX66 ECU. it simply does not log hours.
