your asking someone to memorize what and what changes to all Yamaha motors in the past 20 yrs?
    are ya nuts?

I can look up parts correctly.

that is why Yamaha quiot using model year codes and went to serial numbers.
that way when they introduced a change they just broke that number chain.
it is why you CANNOT reliably look up parts using most non US market parts programs IE parts smart.

using parts manager pro you can type in the serial number and get the correct page.

however about the only parts program worse than part manager pro would be Volvo EPC.

that is why the mechanic got surprised.
that coupled with a lack of experience.

      ROD:
well finally waited my turn for the services of my "qualified mechanic" and during the trial run after winter maintenance and upgrades, the stbd. motor showed it butt, a pressure reading on the rail was below the required minimums and now i own a new HP fuel pump.....

      hope that is the answer

blockage/restriction or sucking air ending with not enough fuel level in the vst for the pump to pump could be a problem with low pressure
