  • F115 tilt/trim rebuild tool

Is the same tool needed for both the tilt and the trim cylinders or is the spacing different between the two?
    Thank you.

you're considering buying the official Yamaha tool?

if you've got a drill, bits, & some steel stock scrap, a "face spanner"

    - either "custom" or "adjustable"

is one of the simpler tools to make

You can also use a hammer and punch, but you might bugger up one hole a bit. if you apply liberal heat and then after a couple of good whacks u will unseat that nut. Then finish removal using an adjustable pin wrench . You have four holes..only ruin the one ?? lol..

No, I'm ordering the Armstrong spanner tool. I've been told via another site that the tilt is a different size than the trim cylinders. That didn't make sense and my memory told me they looked to be the same span.
