  • oil rod rubbing oil tank

when the 90 H is in full throttle, the oil rod rubs the oil tank causing the throttle to stick. There's no room to really move the oil tank. Any suggestions?

Are you talking about item 20 in this illustration?

      Cannot open link.
Just need a bit more clearance for the rod.

The rod is not bent. Just rubs the side. Is it possible that with age the tank can take on a mis-shape?

I fixed the link. For some reason, the link to the Yamaha USA parts catalog is not working.

Yes item 20 the rod link. Just rubs the side enough to make the throttle stick. Nothing is bent and everything is lubricated where it needs to be.

Everything is cleaned and lubricated. Rod is just hitting the side. Managed to heat the plastic just enough to allow clearance. Seems to the move freely.
Pressure tested tank - no leaks. Thanks
