  • High pressure pump

Okay finally got the Yamaha guy to come to the boat and put the computer on it. No codes. Took it out for a run and the pump only put out 500 pounds at 3300 rpms and above. The one thing I didn't want to go bad did. So I had him take the pump off. Now the question is do I try and change these mystery filters myself or send it out to flagship? I already ordered the filters in case I decide to do it myself. What do you guys think.

I would change the filters myself first to see what happens. That might be the fix. If not, then send it to Flagship.

HPDI High Pressure Pump Screen Replacement

Be gentle if and when bending the fuel pipes. Don't bend any more than necessary. They are expensive.

Now keep in mind we are talking a pump that outputs quite a bit of pressure. Could be up to 1000 psi. Check carefully for leaks after the repair is complete no matter what you do.

flagship has a setup to TEST the pump for PROPER operation and LEAKS after the repair.
