  • Automatic choke not working

    I have a 115 1996 yamaha. My auto choke is not working. I know that my switch is good. I am not sure if it is wired to a fuse, or if the solenoid is bad. Any thoughts or suggestions?

    the 1996 115 had no automatic choke.
    solved that issue.

    post a model number.
    post what your issue is.
    but in 96 no V4 had an auto choke/cold start enrichment.

          There is a very big difference in automatic and electric chokes

            I have that motor, it has a key push choke system.

              Is it any wonder that a model that does not have an automatic choke will not have an automatic choke working?

              No complete model provided. Nothing to do here. Move along people.

                And in an automatic fuel enrichment device. Be it prime start or electronic fuel injection.

                  We're "looky lue's"!

                  Like when a car crash happens miles ahead on the interstate, you have to slow down and see the poor slob that wrecked!!

                  Back on thread, on this particular 1996 115, I think part #19 is your manually operated "push to choke / operate solenoid" ;

                  As noted, a model # is needed...
