  • gasket leak on a 2006 Yamaha 50tlr

I have developed a very small leak around the gasket on the plate with the manual choke. I was told by a dealer I needed to replace both gaskets and the diaphragm, is there really a need to tear it apart to replace the diaphragm or can I just remove the front gasket that is leaking and be done with it? The auto choke is working find the way it is.

Which part is leaking, (part # please):

As you have Prime Start: https://www.boats.net/catalog/yamaha...409/carburetor I'm not quite sure where your leak is..

It's leaking behind part number 29 and part number 42.

Are you able to fix it yourself? Looks like two gaskets, a diaphragm... $30? Very simple job. It will be like new again...know what you have then. Leaking gas in an in closed space is never a good thing.
Have a go at it youself.
