  • Drain plug thread size

Drain plug thread size for draining the oil on the smaller 4 stokes.
I want to make a fitting with a hose to drain the oil.
I have been using the plastic teleflex helm fitting and hose.

When you say "smaller 4 strokes" how small?

The same drain plug used on the F350 fits is used on four strokes all the way down to the F25.

What is the thread size? If all the plugs are the same.

I will pull the plug back out and use a thread gauge to find out.

I don't know if you can fit this, but check out Fumoto drain valves. I been using these for years (brass and SS construction) on a few cars and they are fantastic. SOOOOOO easy to drain oil! I see they now have some newer styles that drain faster - that was my only complaint... that it was a bit slow to drain. But I can always find other things to do while it's draining. If you can fit it, and find the proper size, it might be something to consider.
