Crappie is my favorite freshwater fish to eat.
but I have not caught any in many years.
I keep saying I will go crappie fishing this year, but it never happens

when there is a choice of going crappie fishing or redfishing on the flats, the redfish always win.
lot more fun chasing , seeing, and catching reds than crappie

Yes, I've been busy the past week with BIL & family visiting -
took him gulfside a couple days to get him mangrove snappers:

yesterday the wind let down and we got out into the Straits -
but nothing - no birds, no debris, no tuna, no mahi.
Just a 50 mile boat ride.

Wahoo is my favorite eating fish also -
sadly, over a year since I've boated one.
