      BTW, I don’t feel these outboard companies have a grip on direct injection. Is it absolutely necessary to meet EPA standards?

          Nevernind. Yamaha has decided to cancel the F425 launch. According to THT experts the thing is too heavy. All booked orders from builders should be canceled. All booked training classes are (should be) cancelled. Back to the drawing board we go...

                Those Vega engines failed because the first few model years there were to iron cylinder liners....aluminum block/aluminum Pistons....with the iron liners things got some better.....

                  I bought a '72 Vega with a oil burning engine(ran real crappy) on purpose.

                  Put a 283 V8, 200 HP under the hood, headers.

                  Didn't smoke oil anymore, but it DID smoke a bunch of Camaros (sleeper)!
