On a 2017? after its out of warranty, I imagine

even then you might want to wait until Yamaha changes the balancer design again -

appears they haven't felt the need to do so since 2013

I am betting you will never have to change it. I have not heard/read of any failures with the current part number -04. Other manufacturers have figured out how to design the assembly, perhaps Yamaha has now as well.
