I have run my 2014 truck until the computer said I have about 30 miles left to empty.
It is good to know how far you can trust the motor to keep running. I thought about carrying a 5 gal tank with me to see when it would finally die, but have not done that yet

only reason I trust that is because when I picked up the truck they told me to find a gas station very soon and it was reading that low. I guess I struck too good of a deal when I bought it so they were not going to fill up the tank for me.
And then when filling the tank it matched up very close to tank capacity

Thanks again everyone. For now, I will reset and enjoy the assurance of a large reserve below 0%. Sometime soon, I will pull the sender and recalibrate to 0, and maybe even do the 5-point method.
