  • Yamaha inline fuel filter

    Hello,
Just bought a boat that has a 2004 two stroke 150hp previous owner had a cheap Atwood(Walmart) inline filter. I would like to replace with Yamaha 10micron larger filter.

would the smaller size filter affect preformance of the outboard? if so in what ways?

yamaha fuel water seperator is a great idea and in my opinion very necessary, there should only be 2 fuel filters, the primary filter mounted on the engine and the boat mounted fuel water seperator..

actually, the primary filter is the hull mounted one.
the yamaha filter will spin right on the attwood head.
      use the mar-fuel-il-tr.

i guess that is where we disagree, the primary fuel filter is the one that is supplied by yamaha and is mounted on the engine, but you call it what you want , we both agree that it needs a fuel water seperator installed.
