Went to raise my 2002 Yamaha Four Stroke 50hp yesterday using the PTT mechanism and instead of the usual easy lift it sounded a bit rough. The PTT then stopped working altogether. This is the first time I have experienced this problem however it later started working again but was still sounding rough. Has since packed up altogether..
On the strength of the evidence does it sound like the motor requires replacement, if so is it an easy job and how much is it likley to cost?
