  • 2005 90 hp Yamaha 2-Stroke---- Oil line going to pump question.......

I was just inspecting this engine that I just bought, Its a 2005 90 hp 2-stroke Yamaha. I noticed that the oil line, coming from the bottom of the oil tank, makes a loop over the fuel line in route to the oil pump. Is this correct? To me it looks as though it could easily get pinched? Does anyone have any experience on how this is supposed to be? Attached is a photo.

    Thanks.

You can reroute straight to the fitting, shorten the hose if necessary. Be sure to clear any moving parts.

The tank needs to come off to do anything with the carbs. I suspect it was hung to the side like I do and the other hose was connected in the wrong order before it was replaced. If it were mine, I'd correct it to avoid a kink.
