  • Blinking symbol in digital tach

I just installed a used multifunction tach in my console and it seems to work fine for the 2001 z200tlrz. The tach is round and has both the mode and set buttons. There is a blinking symbol I don't understand and it has the look of a caption window and it's located right above where it reads "x100". I zeroed out the trip hours, thinking maybe that had something to do with it, but to no avail. Do any of you know what this could be and how I can eliminate it (or if it's a legitimate alarm that signals something I should deal with)? Thank you!

The symbol that's flashing is just to the right of the big "0" in this photo. Thank you.

check the tach dip switch settings.
looks like its still set up for a 4 stroke.
correct settings are sw1 on,sw2off and sw 3off for your motor.
switchs are located behind a dime sized rubber plug.
