Any ideas - overheat alarm comes(revs restricted) on when on extended period at low revs at sea.

Normal 3/4 throttle revs engine does not overheat. Good water flow though tell tale at low and high revs.

How much water is supposed to flow through the outlet half way up the leg at the back at low revs and 3/4 throttle?

Checked weed /obstruction etc - all clear

This seems to be intermitent could it be sticky thermostat?

Start with water pump, replace water pump impeller or repair kit if needs it.
